Here’s a small sneak peek at a new project I’m working on right now. A little hand-drawn typography, several illustrations and a whole lot of sweetness. I’m aiming to finish up this project in June.

Here's the scoop!

Just a few pics from the book arts project I’m currently trying to finish—a french door style book with a barber pole binding. Love, love, love! where it’s headed, and now I just have visit the copy shop, make a few cuts, and bind it together. Hoorah!

The goal of the project was to have 5-ish random words or sets of words and combine them cohesively within a theme. I’ll talk more about my concept when I post pics of the finished book, but for now—enjoy!

Things I was inspired by:

I just got back from setting up at Indie Craft Parade! It’s going to be one STELLAR event! I can’t wait for tonight—I hope to see you there! If you come Friday night,  you might win a handmade journal of mine in the giveaways!

I’ll leave you for the weekend with a few sneak peeks of ICP!

So . . . it’s been two weeks since the last sneak peak, and due to the strange and mysterious disappearance of one camera cord, I am unable to post any new pics of the book process. (We are looking into purchasing a milk carton ad as I type.) You will therefore just have to take my work on the fact that there are several new books waiting to see you at the TWIST art show this Thursday, Dec. 3 from 6-9 p.m. at Fish Eye Studios.

Admission is free, but a donation of either canned food or $2 at the door is appreciated. Proceeds go to benefit the Harvest Hope Food Bank. Fish Eye Studios is located on 802 Augusta Road, Greenville, SC.

Hope to see you there!

I have begun crafting books for the December TWIST art show. I was so excited when my purchases of supplies arrived in various sized boxes throughout the past week. Here’s a sneak peek of what I’ll be crafting with. Check back next week for actual photos of the books that you’ll be able to purchase at the TWIST.
